Meet Thomas Jacobs
Executive Chef
Executive Chef Thomas Jacobs, a native of Augusta, Georgia, brings more than 20 years of experience in restaurants, hotels, menu development, and culinary operations. His culinary style is rooted in contemporary Southern cuisine, blending Southern traditions and ingredients with global influences and modern techniques.
Jacobs has deep ties to Augusta’s hospitality community. In 2019, he became Executive Chef of The Partridge Inn and its restaurant, 8595, leading culinary programming and Masters Week dining experiences. His work has been featured on FOX 5 Atlanta and in regional publications, as well as Sherry Monahan’s Signature Dishes of America.
In 2024, Jacobs was selected as one of six chefs for the Georgia Grown Executive Chef class, recognizing his commitment to Georgia agriculture and local producers. A passionate leader and mentor, he emphasizes food safety, consistency, cost control, and developing culinary talent.
Today, Jacobs continues to honor the roots of Southern cuisine while drawing inspiration from Caribbean, African, Latin, and Asian traditions, exploring new possibilities for Southern cooking.
Meet Brent Spitzer
Director of Food and Beverage at Crowne Plaza North Augusta for Salt + Marrow Kitchen
Brent Spitzer returned to Crowne Plaza North Augusta in February 2026 as Director of Food and Beverage following three years away from the property. With more than 20 years of hospitality experience, Brent brings extensive expertise in hotel operations, restaurant management, banquet and event services, and creating memorable guest experiences.
With roots in Greenville, South Carolina, Brent has built his career across Texas, North Carolina, Ohio, and the Midwest, earning valuable experience and industry credentials along the way. His diverse leadership background includes roles such as Banquet Manager, Director of Event Operations, Rooms Division Manager, and Assistant General Manager. Brent is especially passionate about developing strong teams and fostering a culture of exceptional service.
Brent resides in North Augusta with his wife and twins. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the beach, playing soccer, and, of course, golfing. He is also a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Manchester United.
